Anemic Growth Forecast For US Property & Casualty Insurance Companies

“Growth in the property-casualty insurance business could be “anemic” this year, at 1.4 percent, according to a new report by Hartford-based Conning & Co.

“Anemic premium growth is forecast for 2010, despite economists’ projection for 3.3 percent growth in real GDP [gross domestic product],” according to Conning’s Property-Casualty Forecast & Analysis in the second quarter of 2010.”
