Congratlulations!
Absolutely the best! In my 33 years of recruiting actuarial talent I have not seen a more comprehenisve salary survey. The Penland Survey should replace the Limra model.

I presume these are 95% confidence intervals? How come there’s no weighted least squares regression analysis or what-not based on the midpoints? I guess there’s no need for it, but it’d still be interesting…

such an actuarial comment…I love it
I know there might not be enough data (or even none at all), but just wondering out of curiosity what the starting salary of an FSA might be (with no experience) or what the starting salary of a high school student going into Entry Level with at least 4-5 exams is. I just think that 4 years of high school + 4 years of college= 8 years. And 8 years is A LOT of time to pass all the exams/modules. If you double/triple up, it can be even faster.
good! How about Canada?
Hi Minnie,
Since I’ve joined Ezra Penland Actuarial Recruitment, we are certainly now considering a Canadian-only actuarial salary survey as well.
We did improve upon the survey above by splitting out P&C reinsurance from all other.
Stay tuned!,
